Terms

What Namewright is and is not.

What you are buying

Namewright sells a one-time $49 naming decision report. You submit your business description, personality, geography, and up to five name candidates. We return a report that compares your names against generated alternatives, flags domain and trademark signals, and identifies which names are worth committing to. The report is delivered digitally and accessible via your original purchase link for 7 days, or at any time via your account at namewright.co/my-reports.

What this is not

Namewright is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The report is preliminary screening — it is not a trademark clearance opinion, a legal assessment of registrability, or a guarantee that a name is available or safe to use. Domain availability changes. Trademark registries are incomplete and lag real-world use. The report does not constitute a recommendation to register, abandon, or enforce any trademark. Before registering a business name, domain, or trademark, consult a qualified attorney independently.

Scope of preliminary screening

Our screening covers word-mark hits in the USPTO and, where available, EUIPO databases, domain availability across common TLDs (.com, .net, .org, .app, .dev, .io, .co), and DNS resolution signals. We flag conflicts we can detect — we do not guarantee we surface all conflicts. Common-law trademark rights, state registrations, international registrations outside covered jurisdictions, and rights acquired through use but not registered are outside our coverage. The absence of a flagged conflict in the report does not mean a name is clear; it means we did not detect a conflict in the sources we checked at the time of generation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Namewright's total liability for any claim arising from use of this report is limited to the amount you paid for the report. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including business losses arising from a naming decision.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Namewright will be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.

Refunds

If the report does not help you move forward, you can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase. See the refund policy for full details.
